Marbré Design
Haderslev January 23, 2022
Famous Danish brand changes name
Danish brand Marbré, known for producing high-quality washbasins, changes its name to Marbre DESIGN and launches a product catalog that emphasizes that a bathroom is not just a bathroom. The name change is the culmination of 6 years of dedicated work to ensure the balance between quality and design.
A DNA with potential
Located in Haderslev, Denmark, the company has more than 30 years of experience in designing and producing bathroom sinks. Over the years, Marbré has been successful and has become known for high quality, low price and a high delivery guarantee on a narrow but popular product range.
In other words, it was DNA with potential, says Claus Barrett, who took over Marbré in 2016 after being in the industry since 1995.
"I left my job as CEO of Multiform because I wanted more. I had a desire to build something and create my own. So when I was given the opportunity to buy Marbré from the then owner, I jumped at it. Here was an opportunity, based on the high quality, to create a total solution designed for the style-conscious consumer for whom a bathroom is not just a bathroom."
From bathroom to wellness room
Good quality never goes out of style. However, we have had a strong desire to make our products stand out more in an environment that adds value and creates a holistic experience for users.
Most of us live in a fast-paced everyday life. When we enter the bathroom and close the door to the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we need to feel enveloped by calm, purity and naturalness. The bathroom should be devoid of unnecessary distractions. The experience should be in the simplicity, and it's the small details that create the overall experience.
In the bathroom, we go in to be ourselves.
Current trends and design in the bathroom
Danes are very much into natural design in the bathroom. The materials should reflect nature, which is why you see a lot of wood and stone in the style. It should also be simple and no-frills, which means it's practical and easy to clean. And there should be a little wow effect - a subtle sense of innovation and technology.
Innovative technology
The technology can be seen in the mirrors, most of which have built-in lights. Here it is worth highlighting the Ghost mirror. A simple and narrow frame transforms Ghost from a simple mirror into an elegant decoration, and with a built-in motion sensor, light is turned on around the frame from an invisible light source - also known as ghost technology.
Teasing design
Innovation is also seen in the design of the sinks. Especially the ceramic sinks with the beautiful structure of natural granite play with the eyes. Because where is the drain? The sink is like a vessel carved out of the worktop without the familiar hole at the bottom for the drain. In this case, the drain is hidden in the back edge of the sink, creating an elegant look that gives the feeling of a luxurious spa experience.
No more dirty hole for overflow
Many of Marbre DESIGN's washbasins also lack the well-known hole in the top of the sink, which is designed to prevent overflow. It gives a much more elegant look. The overflow is built into the bottom valve. When there is a certain amount of water in the basin, the VA approved bottom valve opens automatically and prevents overflow. The result is a much better-looking sink, while avoiding dirt and limescale settling in the hole.
And then there's the wow effect...
The Marbre DESIGN catalog contains a wide range of bathroom effects that make you want to stay a little longer behind the locked door. For example, a mirror with a shelf with built-in wireless mobile charging. A crystal clear, bronze-colored glass sink or an elegant, teardrop-shaped water trap with a sculptural effect that almost begs to be shown off.
There's also something for those who want to go all in on the wow effect. At the back of the catalog, an entire section is dedicated to luminaires from Tonino Lamborghini Water Design. Since the 1960s, Lamborghini has been world-renowned for its exclusive style, uncompromising spirit and Italian ingenuity and design. This identity is not hidden in their bathroom and kitchen product ranges.
"We are proud to be the sole distributors of this brand in Denmark," reveals Claus Barrett. There really is something for everyone here. The selection of Lamborghini products ranges from the familiar fixture design, like Indy, but with a personal edge that arouses curiosity and bears the familiar challenging bull logo, to high-end products like Monza, Marina Bay and Nürnburg Ring that are sure to give guests something to talk about.
The future of Marbre DESIGN
"We are proud of the development we have created in the company. The name and the quality that has been created over the years has now expanded to be a holistic experience in the bathroom. We look forward to the future and to helping Danes, through our products, create a sense of calm, well-being and balance in the home bathroom experience. At the same time, it is important to us that the values the company has been known for over the years - high quality and delivery reliability without compromising on price - live on in the future."
